Andréa Simmons

About me...

Having started her performing career at 7 yrs of age, singing at live gigs, then becoming a professional dancer in early 20’s.

Andréa started her acting training with Collete Mann at Tony Bartuccios in Melbourne. Then proceeded to study acting at Swinburne College also in Melbourne.

Furthering she began performing within local theatre companies throughout Melbourne and then in Queensland and began Choreographing and directing stage shows as well as performing lead roles in them. Over the next 10 yrs Andréa performed Live musical theatre in many known shows, including Calamity Jane, Follies, Applause, and All Shook Up, while still developing her film training and experience. She has since been in various commercials and movies, as an actor, both in local films and American films as well as mini series's Including The Strip, H2o, Bianca and Monterey Cove.

After assisting the director with a film called The Rarity, a Canadian Vampire movie filmed in Australia, where she was appointed as acting coach and played the lead vampire role. Andréa began directing and producing music video clips for hotchillipix within Big Note Productions as their in-house director in 2012. She then started her own production company "Andréa Simmons Production Pty Ltd”, directing and producing music video clips, web advertising and commercials in 2013.

Andréa has organised various events with the film industry in Queensland and Sydney. She has also performed at various gigs around Australia. Andre’a was a co-producer of a local film called Frenzy in 2014 and has since focused her attention on producing a film project called The Last Dawn. Along with her colleagues Mark Hembrow and Aash Aaron, Andre’a has now established her connections within Singapore, LA and New Zealand to further produce and release a world wide Australian Blockbuster films, while continuing her acting and singing career.
